This presentation will review the basic features and presentations of ADHD and anxiety leading to a decision to treat medically and will consider the challenge of comorbidities. In addition, the presentation will also review the basic mechanisms of the medications to treat these conditions, including similarities, differences, optimal benefits, and potential side effects of treatment. There will be time for discussion and questions.
Dr. Neil Fialkow has maintained a private practice in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry in Northfield, Illinois since 1994. He has served as a consultant to Jewish Child and Family Services and the Special Education District of Lake County. He has also been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Chicago.
Members who attend will receive 1.5 CPDUs for this program. Current PLD/SE membership is required for CPDU credits. Members who register will receive a recording.
A Certificate of Attendance can be provided upon request.
