Understanding the Needs of Twice-Exceptional Learners

presented by Aileen Kelleher, LCSW

Tuesday, November 12, 2024

7:00 - 8:30 PM

Zoom

This presentation will define the twice-exceptional learner.  It will identify ways in which twice-exceptional students are often missed or overlooked.  The speaker will also clarify three common needs of twice-exceptional students and provide ways in which adults can help meet those needs.  Examples will be shown in a slide show.

Aileen Kelleher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with gifted and twice-exceptional children, adults and their families.  She loves to constantly learn and share information about giftedness and neurodiversity, and is passionate about the power of understanding these individuals and about the importance of a community for gifted people and their families.

Members who attend will receive 1.5 CPDUs for this program.

Current PLD/SE membership is required for CPDU credits.

Members who register will receive the presentation slides and recording.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required.  Registration closes on Sunday, November 10th.  Registrants will receive a link and a passcode the day before the event.
