Study Groups

PLDSE holds study groups that meet in members' homes to have more in depth discussions and presentations on topics of interest to the group. Meeting dates and locations are set by the individual groups. Please email us at pldsechicago@gmail.com to learn more!

Our North Study Group meets in the Northbrook/Highland Park/Deerfield area.

We are pleased to let you know that Marcy Jacobs will be able to lead our next study group discussion. Marcy who is a social worker in private practice works with children of all ages and is extremely knowledgeable. She advocates for her clients and is active in their school programs, and knows of the resources available to students in crisis as well as providing home interventions, and which resources are available to parents with or without insurance. Our discussion should be very informal but we would like to provide her with some of our questions ahead of time. Marcy is a great resource to parents as well as for professionals with children who are at risk emotionally. Date to be determined.

If you have ideas to share or are interested in joining, email us at North Study Group. Please use North Study Group in your subject line.
